Here at Shanghai Charlie’s Tattoo Parlour we follow the strictest levels of hygiene and sterility in every part of the tattooing procedure. All needles are single use and disposed of after each procedure in accordance with N.S.W Health Department regulations. Other items such as tattoo tubes are ultrasonically cleaned, scrubbed, rinsed, individually bagged and finally autoclave-sterilized on premises. All washes, soaps and disinfecting solutions used are also as per Health Department specifications. To further prevent cross-contamination, all equipment touched between individual clients are protected with disposable, one-use-only, plastic covers. The studio has a separate sterilizing area with an “approved one direction flow method” and our autoclave unit is spore-tested and regularly calibrated as per State Health Department guidelines. Shanghai Charlies Tattoo Parlour checks Health Department updates regularly for the tattoo industry and changes are implemented immediately. All artists are licensed in NSW as is the shop.
